Subject Description
This subject offers HSC students an opportunity to develop scientific research skills, to use modern laboratory equipment to to learn to use modern research tools under the guidance of UOW staff. This subject covers strands of Medicine (Anatomy, Physiology) and Exercise Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, and provides an introduction to some of the key concepts covered in the HSC, and in science and health subjects at university. Students will be awarded 6 unspecified credit points upon successful completion of the course, as well as receiving a guarenteed Early Admissions Interview with the Faculty.

Subject Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
1. Apply knowledge gained from lectures and readings;
2. Use critical assessment and problem solving skills to answer questions;
3. Carry out logical scientific experimentation;
4. Record observations and derive results;
5. Calculate properties based on results and observations;
