Subject Description
This subject develops skills and knowledge in design practice for a range of digital platforms. Through an exploration of creative solutions to design project briefs, students learn the fundamental principles of user experience (UX), user interface design (UID), information architecture, wire-framing, data visualisation and responsive design.


Subject Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
1. apply fundamental design skills that support innovative and creative design solutions for digital media platforms
2. demonstrate an understanding of the application of foundation design principles of composition, colour, typography, space and hierarchy in a digital design context
3. demonstrate an understanding of the principles of user experience (UX), user interface design (UID), information architecture, wire-framing, data visualisation and responsive design
