Subject Description
CAVA390 is a Capstone subject in the BCA Visual Arts, Visual Arts and Design and BA Photography majors focusing on the development of an exhibition-ready body of creative work. Students are expected to extend upon their previous studio research to engage in a sustained process of creative development, distillation and resolution. Alongside working on their projects, students will also participate in a combined graduate public exhibition. This subject provides an opportunity for students to integrate and apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout their major.

Subject Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
1. Apply and integrate knowledge of materials, mediums, art theory and history demonstrated through an ability to critically reflect on their creative practice
2. Develop the sound technical and conceptual skills needed for their Visual Arts project
3. Develop the key issues and questions that will frame innovation within their Visual Arts project
4. Have confidence and the skills needed to work independently, demonstrated through the management of their self directed project
