Subject Description
This subject is the third of three 200 level studio subjects that develop specialised studio skills in a dedicated studio discipline. The disciplines available include sculpture, textiles, photography and painting. Students will select one of the above disciplines as a specialised studio area. The aim of this subject is to further develop studio technical skills and the creative potential of each student.


Subject Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this subject, students will have:
1. Further developed their studio creative skills and artistic knowledge in another visual arts studio
2. Developed further independent management of the self directed projects
3. Developed further strategies for resolving visual ideas
4. Deepened their interpretive and critical skills in reviewing their work through comparison with relevant contemporary artists
5. Deepened their fluency in researching contemporary arts practice and discussion of contemporary art movements and themes
