Subject Description
This subject gives students an appreciation of application development for mobile devices including issues such as data persistence, mobile interface design, web integration and deployment. In addition to this, the technical skills necessary to develop applications using several languages, frameworks and tools are practiced.


Subject Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
1. Identify and describe the principals and challenges associated with mobile application development.
2. Demonstrate an understanding of the mobile application development life cycle and associated programming paradigms.
3. Utilise modern environments and development tools (e.g. iOS and Android) to develop mobile applications.
4. Develop application designs which leverage the functionality/ services commonly available on mobile platforms.
