Subject Description
This is an individual academic research project conducted under the supervision of academic staff in the school.

Subject Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
1. Critically analyse the body of literature concerning a specific ICT question or problem.
2. Devise a research method or methods to resolve that question or problem.
3. Apply the devised method in a rigorous manner, recording results.
4. Analyse those results and thereby resolve the question or problem.
5. Present the various stages of this process in a scholarly fashion, which will include a formal thesis and may include a seminar, a poster or both.

Generic Extra Information:
To enrol in ISIT999, a minimum final grade of 65% will be required for ISIT940 along with a successful formulation of a research proposal with enrolment agreement from the supervisor and the degree coordinator. There are no face-to-face classes. This is a research subject and students and supervisors will meet regularly to discuss research progress.
