Subject Description
In this subject students will undertake a study of research methods or other topic of current interest in Information Systems and/or Information Technology. Its purpose is to give final year Dean's Scholar students an opportunity to explore in depth, current and advanced topics in Information Systems and/or Information Technology.

Subject Objectives:
At the completion of this subject students should be able to demonstrate knowledge, understandings and skills in an advanced topic in Information Systems and/or Information Technology and, in particular: 1) Develop and plan a research proposal, supported by existing review of initial knowledge; 2) Conduct a literature review; 3) Acquire, synthesise and integrate information within a complex professional setting; 4) Present their research verbally to colleagues and School members in a clear and consistent manner; and 5) Compose a research-based project or piece of scholarship that demonstrates understanding and critical analysis in Information Systems and/or Information Technology.
