Subject Description
This subject analyses relevant macroeconomic concepts and principles in an integrated macroeconomic environment. Simple macroeconomic models will be developed to characterise the interdependencies of the more important components parts of a macro economy. This will allow students to analyse some real world problems and to start identifying and formulating appropriate macroeconomic policies.

Subject Objectives:
On successful completion of this subject students should be able to. 1. Demonstrate an understanding of the causes of fluctuations in economic activity over time. 2. Analyse and evaluate the impacts of monetary, fiscal and exchange rate policies in moderating the amplitude of business fluctuations. 3. Analyse and report the causes and consequences of economic growth and inflation. 4. Demonstrate an understanding of the use of specified Information Communication Technologies.
